I am in-network with most plans under Blue Cross Blue Shield, I am in-network with Aetna, and I am also in-network with the NC State Health Plan. I am not in-network with Blue Value or Blue Local BCBSNC plans. To find out whether I am In-Network with your plan, please call your insurance carrier ahead of our appointment and confirm for yourself. On my Forms page I've made a list of questions you need to have answered before coming in to see me.
If you are covered by an insurance plan, it's likely your Out-of-Network benefits will cover part or all of the cost. If so, I will supply you monthly with completed forms that have all the information necessary to file your claim yourself. I can also provide you with receipts for a flexible spending health-care account.
Some insurance companies expect the client to pay a portion of their fee at the time of service, and their insurance plan will pay the therapist the balance of the fee; other plans expect the client to pay the therapist their full fee, and will reimburse the client a portion of that fee. It's your responsibility to know your plan's benefits. I include an "Insurance Benefit Information" sheet in new clients' intake packages, which contains a list of question to ask your insurance company.
I know therapy can be difficult to afford, and I am passionate about being able to provide care for everyone. I am open to discussing reduced fees for those who cannot afford my usual rates.
I will provide a Good Faith Estimate of the costs of treatment for you before our first meeting.
I accept cash, checks, and Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards.
